Antique early Victorian period elm chest of drawers
This rare piece of country furniture has the most wonderful glow and fantastic grain you get from elm wood
Not much on it is perfectly square, the top is not flat and some of the drawer fronts lean outwards but this just adds to the charm
Various repairs have been carried out over the years, none can be seen to spoil the look
It has been a victim of wood worm in the past, we have fully treated it again, the side and back edge of the top in particular
The legs have been shortened by an inch to make them firm
The drawers have locks bar one, none with keys
There are 8 original beautifully turned drawer knobs
This chest of drawers is a one-off item, a lovely old colour and full of character (see photos)
As well as the description we have taken 12 pictures, please look through them in detail
